UNCLOGIC Gen 2 Support
The following setup and information applies to the UNCLOGIC Gen 2 system. Do not apply these specifications to other UNCLOGIC models.
Setup & Connection —
1. How do I connect UNCLOGIC Mask for warmth?
Connect everything in this order:
- Connect the FIR heating unit to the controller.
- Connect the controller to a compatible 5V/2A USB power source.
Always connect the heating unit to the controller before connecting power.
2. Why does the display briefly show "88"?
"88" is the controller's startup display. It indicates that the controller has received power. It should then change to the operating display.
Temperature & Timer Settings —
3. What temperature settings are available?
Available temperature settings depend on your model. Begin at the lowest setting and increase gradually only if needed for comfort. Higher heat is not automatically better. Stop immediately if any setting feels excessively hot. The warmth reaching the eyelids may vary with the cover, fit, inserts, room conditions, and individual sensitivity.
4. What timer settings are available?
The Seaweed Sensitive controller provides five timer settings: 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 minutes. These are available settings—not a recommendation that every customer use the longest session. Choose a comfortable session length and ask your eye-care professional for individualized guidance.
5. What does the NTC temperature sensor do?
The Seaweed Sensitive controller uses a smart NTC temperature sensor to monitor temperature and help regulate heat output.
Safety & Comfort —
6. Can I sleep while using the powered mask?
No. Awake throughout every powered warming session. Disconnect the mask from power after use.
7. When should I stop using the mask?
Stop immediately for: excessive heat, burning or pain, persistent redness or skin irritation, dizziness, a new or continuing change in vision, or an unusual smell or abnormal heat from the controller or cable. Remove the mask, disconnect power, and allow it to cool. Seek prompt professional care for sudden or significant vision changes, severe pain, injury, or suspected infection.
8. What should I inspect before each use?
Check the heating unit, controller, cable, and connectors. Do not use a component that is wet, damaged or frayed, sharply folded or creased, loose at the connector, or producing unusual or concentrated heat.
9. Does UNCLOGIC Mask replace prescribed eye care?
No. UNCLOGIC is an eye-comfort system and does not replace prescribed medication, professional diagnosis, or your eye-care professional's instructions.
Cooling Comfort —
10. Can the cover be used without the heating unit for cooling?
Yes. Disconnect power and completely remove the FIR heating unit and every electrical component before cooling use. The Seaweed Sensitive system includes rose-quartz and optional compatible cooling-gel components for non-powered cooling comfort.
After Warming —
11. What should I do after removing the mask?
Make several slow, complete blinks. Close your eyelids gently without squeezing.
12. Should I massage or press my eyelids after warming?
No. Do not rub, press, squeeze, or massage your eyelids after warming. Eye Comfort Care teaches gentle, complete blinking instead.

UNCLOGIC Gen 2 Velvety Plush Support
This section is for the UNCLOGIC Gen 2 Velvety Plush mask. It follows the same gentle routine as Seaweed Sensitive, with two differences: a soft plush cover and three warmth settings. Do not apply Seaweed Sensitive settings to Velvety Plush.
Which Mask Do I Have? —
How can I tell Velvety Plush from Seaweed Sensitive?
Look at your controller. Velvety Plush has three warmth levels: Low, Medium, and High. Seaweed Sensitive has five color levels. The Velvety Plush cover is a soft polyester plush fabric.
Setup & Connection —
1. How do I connect my Velvety Plush mask for warmth?
Connect everything in this order:
- Connect the FIR heating unit to the controller.
- Connect the controller to the approved 5V/2A wall adapter included with your kit.
- Plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
Always connect the heating unit to the controller before connecting power. Use only Eye Comfort Care-approved power components.
Warmth & Timer Settings —
2. What warmth settings are available?
Velvety Plush has three warmth settings: Low, Medium, and High. Always begin on Low and increase only if you need more warmth for comfort. Higher heat is not better. Stop right away if any setting feels too hot.
Velvety Plush starts warmer than the lowest Seaweed Sensitive setting. If your eyes or skin are sensitive to heat, Seaweed Sensitive offers gentler starting options.
3. What timer settings are available?
Five timer settings: 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 minutes. The mask stops warming automatically when the timer ends. These are available settings, not a recommendation to use the longest session. Ask your eye-care professional what session length is right for you.
Safety & Comfort —
4. Can I sleep while using the powered mask?
No. Stay awake throughout every powered warming session. Disconnect the mask from power after use.
6. What should I inspect before each use?
Check the heating unit, controller, cable, and connectors. Do not use a component that is wet, damaged or frayed, sharply folded or creased, loose at the connector, or producing unusual or concentrated heat.
Caring for the Plush Cover —
7. How do I wash the Velvety Plush cover?
First remove the FIR heating unit, controller, cable, and every insert. Only the completely empty cover may be machine washed. Wash on a cold, gentle cycle, ideally in a mesh laundry bag. Do not bleach or tumble dry. Reshape the cover and let it air-dry completely before reassembling.
Wipe the heating unit and controller with a dry or very lightly damp cloth only. Never wash, soak, or submerge any electrical part.
Cooling Comfort —
8. Can I use the mask for cooling?
Yes. Disconnect power and completely remove the FIR heating unit and every electrical component first. Refrigerate the gel insert; do not freeze it. Place the rose-quartz insert closest to your eyes, with the gel insert behind it.
After Warming —
9. What should I do after removing the mask?
Make several slow, complete blinks. Close your eyelids gently without squeezing. Do not rub, press, squeeze, or massage your eyelids after warming.

C1020 Power Bank & Charging
The Eye Comfort Care C1020 is a rechargeable 10,000mAh portable power bank for compatible UNCLOGIC heated eye-mask systems. It provides a convenient portable power source when you do not want to remain connected to a wall outlet.
The C1020 includes a USB-A–to–USB-C charging cable. Its ports include a USB-C input/output, USB-A output, and Lightning input.
How to Charge the C1020
- Insert the included cable's USB-C end into the middle USB-C port on the power bank.
- Insert the USB-A end into the Eye Comfort Care-approved 5V DC/2A wall adapter, maximum 10W.
- Plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
- Confirm that the battery-percentage display illuminates.
Wall-adapter inclusion depends on the Eye Comfort Care kit configuration.
C1020 FAQ
Does a wall adapter come with the C1020?
Wall-adapter inclusion depends on your Eye Comfort Care kit configuration. The UNCLOGIC Gen 2 Core kit includes the approved 5V/2A wall adapter but no power bank. The UNCLOGIC Gen 2 Travel and Complete kits include the C1020 power bank but no wall adapter. A separately purchased C1020 includes the power bank and USB-A–to–USB-C charging cable only.
Which wall adapter is approved for the C1020?
Use a 5V DC/2A wall adapter, maximum 10W. Do not use a higher-wattage adapter than approved.
Controllers, Adapters & Cables
Controller startup behavior, display indicators, temperature controls, timer controls, connection order, and troubleshooting depend on the specific UNCLOGIC model and controller. Confirm your model before following controller instructions.
Verified controller information for the Seaweed Sensitive is in the Seaweed Sensitive section above.
For Velvety Plush controller assistance, contact Eye Comfort Care at service@eyecomfortcare.com or (888) 781-2811.
Approved Wall Adapter — C1020 Power Bank
The approved wall adapter for charging the C1020 power bank is 5V DC/2A, maximum 10W. The UNCLOGIC Gen 2 Core configuration includes the approved 5V/2A wall adapter and no power bank. Travel and Complete configurations include the approved power bank and no wall adapter. Confirm your specific product and kit before selecting a power source.
My controller turns on but shuts off after a few seconds. What should I do?
Try these steps in order:
- Try a wall outlet instead of a power bank. Plug the controller into an Eye Comfort Care-approved 5V/2A wall adapter rather than a power bank. If it stays on normally, your power bank may not be supplying enough power for the heating unit, even if the power bank itself shows as fully charged.
- Check that every connection is fully seated. Disconnect and firmly reconnect the cable between the power source, controller, and heating unit. A connection that looks plugged in but is not fully seated can cause the controller to shut off shortly after powering on.
- Try a different cable, if available. A worn or damaged cable can cause the same symptom.
If the controller still shuts off after a few seconds while connected to an approved wall outlet with a fresh, fully-seated connection, please contact us rather than continuing to troubleshoot. This points to an issue with the unit itself, and we'll help arrange a replacement.

Replacement Parts & Warranty Support
UNCLOGIC® Gen 2 One-Year Replacement-Parts Warranty
For one year from the original purchase date, customers who purchased an UNCLOGIC® Gen 2 system may request replacement of an individual Gen 2 component.
All individual UNCLOGIC® Gen 2 components are covered when the customer and request meet the approved warranty conditions. Coverage is not limited to a particular cover or heating-unit selection.
How Replacement Requests Are Processed
Each affected component is reviewed and approved individually. Only one replacement component is processed at a time because components may ship from different warehouse locations.
An approved replacement component is provided without a charge for the component. The customer pays the actual USPS shipping rate calculated from the warehouse fulfilling that component to the customer's United States delivery address. The exact shipping charge is disclosed before payment is collected.
Warranty Period for a Replacement
A replacement component receives only the time remaining under the original one-year warranty. Receiving a replacement does not restart the one-year warranty period. An administrator may consider an exception request individually, but an exception is not promised.
Purchase Verification
- Purchased directly from Eye Comfort Care: ECC will verify the purchase through its own order records. A customer receipt is not required when ECC can locate the order.
- Purchased from a doctor's office: A dated receipt or equivalent proof showing the UNCLOGIC® Gen 2 purchase is required.
- Purchased from Amazon or another seller: Dated proof of purchase is required. The request will receive individual review, but submitting a request does not promise approval.
Who Is Eligible
The customer must have purchased an UNCLOGIC® Gen 2 system. Warranty service is currently limited to customers and delivery addresses in the United States.
Warranty Support
To begin a warranty request, email your name, purchase email or order number, affected component, and a short description of the problem. For purchases from a doctor's office, Amazon, or another seller, include dated proof of purchase.
Replacement Components
Replacement components are available for UNCLOGIC® Gen 2 systems. Contact Eye Comfort Care before ordering so we can confirm compatibility with your system.
Product Choice
Is UNCLOGIC the same as Original Unclog™?
No. UNCLOGIC is Eye Comfort Care's modular warming and cooling system. Available features, warmth settings, timers, covers, controllers, and care instructions depend on the specific UNCLOGIC model. Original Unclog™ is the heritage Proven Standard for straightforward, integrated plug-in warmth.
